Pregnant Mom Forced Into Airbnb for Months After Tenants Refuse to Leave Her Home

In November 2025, Nadia Aziz, a 36-year-old mother, found herself in a nightmarish situation. Just days away from giving birth, Nadia and her husband Irfan were forced to live in an Airbnb for 5 months after long-term tenants refused to vacate their family home in Manchester.

The Aziz family had been traveling the world with their 4-year-old son Zakariya when they decided to move back to the UK in June 2025 to prepare for the arrival of their second child. However, their homecoming plans were derailed when the tenants, who had lived in the property for 5 years, refused to leave despite being given 3 months' notice.

Nadia and Irfan initiated legal proceedings to regain possession of their home, and a court granted them a possession order in August 2025. But the tenants were advised by the local council not to leave, as that would make them "voluntarily homeless" and jeopardize their chances of being rehoused.

Heavily pregnant and with nowhere to go, the family was forced to rent an Airbnb in High Wycombe, near Irfan's family. Nadia gave birth to their daughter on October 21st, 2025, all while dealing with the ongoing legal battle and associated costs, which have already reached around £2,500.
