Madeleine's Original Portuguese Egg Tarts is set to delight fans once again with its comeback. The brand will open a new store at Aperia Mall on June 21, accompanied by a special promotion. For a limited time, customers ordering main dishes like Crab Congee or Minchee Rice will receive a complimentary mini egg tart.
The beloved brand, known for its flaky crust and caramelized top, is now under the management of siblings Benjamin Zachary Ong, 22, and Vernice Ong, 18. Having grown up as fans of the original stall, they took over the recipes and operations after the brand's closure in 2024.
Operating as a Macanese char chan teng, the new establishment will feature the iconic Portuguese Egg Tart alongside new bakes and main dishes. Menu highlights include the Gula Melaka Portuguese Egg Tart, Bolo Bun, and Pork Chop Bun, offering a fusion of local and Macanese flavors.
