Three years ago, Haley Orrock began realizing a childhood dream by creating a village of playhouses in her backyard. She currently has four distinct structures, each with its own theme and purpose. Orrock finds these charming playhouses on Facebook Marketplace, often acquiring them for as little as $60.
The process of acquiring and transporting the playhouses has provided many memorable stories, including near misses with power lines and even a car crash. Orrock's creative vision is often enhanced by her online followers, who contribute ideas for new features and themes. The Instagram Reels video showcasing her latest addition has drawn significant attention.
Orrock plans to continue expanding her playhouse village, with no immediate end in sight for the project. She hopes to add several more houses, making the village a continuously evolving space. The ultimate goal is for the village to be a perpetual work in progress.
