Borders Businessmen Combat Christmas Loneliness

In a heartwarming initiative, four friends from Peebles in the Borders are joining forces to tackle Christmas Day loneliness. They are hosting a free community get-together on December 25th, aiming to provide companionship for anyone in need.

The nearby Macdonald Cardrona Hotel has stepped up to support the cause by offering one of its function suites. Furthermore, the hotel will provide a complete Christmas lunch for all attendees, ensuring a festive and welcoming atmosphere.

Calum Stewart, vice chair of the Peebles and District Round Table, expressed enthusiasm for the event, describing it as a party where everyone will receive a warm welcome. Nearly 30 guests have already registered for this compassionate gathering.
