Temples, including Mahavir Temple and Iskcon Temple, were festively decorated, drawing immense crowds seeking blessings and spiritual solace for the year ahead.
The Mahavir Temple experienced an extraordinary surge, with over 400,000 devotees visiting by nightfall, resulting in queues that stretched for 2 kilometers. Priests from Ayodhya were specially invited, and 18,000 kg of offerings were sold. Similarly, Iskcon Temple saw more than 450,000 devotees participating in spiritual activities and receiving 'mahaprasad'.
Beyond the spiritual gatherings, Patna Zoo reported 28,462 visitors, while other public spaces like Eco Park and Veer Kunwar Singh Park buzzed with families and friends enjoying the festive spirit. Despite the cold weather, the city resonated with joy, marking a memorable start to 2026.
