Oceania Cruises is preparing to launch its newly renovated ship, Oceania Aurelia, in late 2027. Formerly the Oceania Nautica, the vessel is being transformed into "The Ultimate Explorer," designed for extended, luxurious global journeys with a residential feel. The ship will accommodate fewer than 500 passengers, supported by 400 officers and crew, ensuring an intimate and community-focused atmosphere.
Reservations for Oceania Aurelia's inaugural season open on May 13, 2026. The ship's first voyages will be a series of seven to 14-day European cruises. Following this, it will embark on two simultaneous 180-day Around the World voyages for 2028 and 2029, alongside two Grand Voyages exceeding 70 days each.
Highlights of the Around the World voyages include overnight stays in key destinations like Papeete, Sydney, and Tokyo, offering access to nearly 100 UNESCO World Heritage sites. Optional Mid-Cruise Overland Programs will allow passengers to explore wonders such as Machu Picchu and the Taj Mahal. The 2028 world cruise will feature a christening ceremony in Miami in January 2028 before departing on an eastward circumnavigation. The 2029 voyage begins from Los Angeles in January 2029, exploring the Americas before heading across the Pacific.
