Couple Opens Retro Photo Booths After Meeting In One

Love found its start in a photo booth for Zoë Lazerson and Brandon Minton, who are now sharing that magic with New York City. Three years after meeting in a Utah dive bar's analog photo booth, the couple launched Old Friend Photobooth. They have since opened two locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Minton, with a background in film lab production, and Lazerson, a long-time influencer, envisioned Old Friend as a way to foster real-world connections. They wanted to create an experience where people could not only come together but also take home a tangible memory, a stark contrast to the ephemeral nature of digital content.

Inspired by European photo booth culture, their street-accessible booths offer a genuine, filterless experience, capturing four flashes and four images within three minutes. This analog charm attracts those seeking a nostalgic yet authentic way to commemorate life's moments, from everyday visits to significant milestones like birthdays and engagements.
