As Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad gear up to host thousands of visitors for the upcoming Durga Puja festivities, the local pandals are showcasing a remarkable blend of creativity and nostalgia.
The oldest puja in Noida, Noida Kalibari, has replicated the sacred Kedarnath Temple, providing devotees a chance to witness its divine architecture without traveling to the original site. Meanwhile, the second-oldest puja in the city, SDSP (Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samity) in Sector 12, is featuring a traditional pandal.
For the third-oldest puja at Jalvayu Vihar Sector 25, the majestic Howrah station building has been recreated as the pandal theme, evoking memories of homecomings, departures, and the eternal rhythm of return. In Sector 61, the Balaka Durgotsav pandal is inspired by the grandeur of Europe's Cybele Palace, blending Indian spirituality and European elegance.
Other notable themes include the Dakshineswar Kali Temple at Sector 78's Central Noida Puja Committee and the Nav Durga in her nine avatars at Noida Sector 50's Saptarshi Sangha Durga Puja. The celebrations also feature cultural performances, food stalls, and immersive experiences, promising to captivate visitors over the next four days.
