A lucky ticket holder in New Jersey has won $1 million after the Powerball drawing on Saturday, Dec. 13. The winning ticket, which matched five of the six white balls, was sold at a Sunoco station in Morristown.
This prize comes as no one matched all six numbers to win the massive $1 billion jackpot. The grand prize has now increased to $1.1 billion for the next drawing on Monday, Dec. 15, making it the sixth largest Powerball jackpot.
In addition to the New Jersey winner, tickets worth $1 million were sold in California, Florida, Michigan, and Virginia. Pennsylvania and North Carolina each had a Match 5 plus Power Play winner, worth $2 million.
