Summary
- Thousands of devotees participated in Nagara Panchami celebrations across the district.
- Kudupu Sri Anantha Padmanabha Temple saw a higher turnout due to a holiday.
- Kukke Subrahmanya temple hosted approximately 90,000 devotees over two days.

Thousands of devotees across the district celebrated Nagara Panchami with significant devotion on Monday. A prominent serpent worship site, Kudupu Sri Anantha Padmanabha Temple, witnessed an increased number of visitors this year. This rise in attendance was partly attributed to a holiday declared for local educational institutions and government offices, allowing more people to participate in the festivities.
At the Kukke Subrahmanya temple, approximately 50,000 people visited on Sunday evening and another 40,000 on Monday. Although the Ashlesha Bali Puja was less frequent due to the festival not coinciding with Ashlesha Nakshatra, special pujas were conducted. Devotees offered milk and participated in various rituals, including 'Ksheerabhisheka', 'Panchamritabhisheka', and 'Seeyalabhisheka'.
Meanwhile, the Kadri Sri Manjunatha Temple also hosted special Naga Puja and 'Nagathambila' rituals. Thousands of devotees attended the Kadri Kshetra as the Sankramana coincided with Nagara Panchami. Approximately 5,000 devotees were provided with annaprasadam, a free meal offered at the temple, during the course of the celebrations.
