Mum's £13k Skin Removal for Dream Wedding

Lucy Wellings, a 26-year-old from Bury St Edmunds, has undergone extensive skin removal surgery costing £13,000. Following a thyroid cancer diagnosis in April 2018, she experienced significant weight gain due to "sympathy cakes" and a developing binge eating disorder. After losing weight through gastric sleeve surgery, she was left with considerable excess skin.

In January of this year, Lucy traveled to Lithuania for skin removal procedures on her arms, followed by a 360 lower body lift and tummy muscle repair three months later. This resulted in the removal of over 11lbs of excess skin and four litres of liposuction.

Her confidence has soared, enabling her to look forward to her wedding in June 2027. Lucy is also raising awareness about undergoing such procedures abroad, highlighting the significant cost savings compared to the UK, which she states would have been comparable to a house deposit.
