Meghan Markle shared insights into her children's eating habits while appearing on MasterChef Australia recently. She revealed that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet adhere to a special rule when it comes to dessert: they can only have it if they pick it themselves.
Living on an estate in Montecito, California, which includes a garden and orchard, provides ample opportunities for the children to select their own sweet treats. Meghan explained that while chocolate is not an option to pick, fresh fruit is readily available for them. She also touched upon their breakfast preferences, including 'surprise pancakes' featuring home-grown berries and jam made from fruit they helped pick.
Previously, in interviews in March and April 2025, Meghan had also discussed their meals with PEOPLE and The New York Times. She mentioned that quick options like chicken nuggets and tater tots are sometimes necessary, alongside family favorites such as fried eggs and bacon, and even frozen waffles on busy days.
