Duchess Meghan: Bullied Daily for a Decade

The Duchess of Sussex revealed she endured relentless daily online bullying for ten years, identifying herself as the "most trolled person in the entire world." Speaking to young people involved with the mental health organisation Batyr, Meghan expressed that social media companies are not motivated to curb harmful content, as their profit relies on cruelty to generate clicks. She urged young people to develop resilience against such negativity.

During the same visit, Prince Harry praised Australia's decision to ban social media access for those under 16. He described the move as "epic" from a perspective of responsibility and leadership, noting that Australia was the first country to implement such a ban.

Harry further commented that while he is not judging the policy itself, the ban should never have been necessary. He stressed the importance of social media companies taking accountability to ensure platforms are safe for young users, rather than punishing them with bans.
