Traveller's 'Scam' Warning Reveals Meghalaya's Warm Heart

A recent social media post by traveler Lewis Pullman has captured attention for its humorous portrayal of Meghalaya as an "absolute scamming state." Initially presented as a warning, Pullman's description uses sarcasm to highlight the extraordinary kindness and hospitality he received during his three-week visit.

Pullman shared three "scams" he encountered, starting with a trekking guide who refused payment after a seven-hour tour and even invited him for dinner. Another "scam" involved a couple who offered him a ride and subsequently hosted him for two nights, providing accommodation and meals.

His final "complaint" was the impossibility of experiencing solitude on the roads due to constant offers of help from passing drivers. Pullman concluded that Meghalaya, often called the "Abode of the Clouds," is "unreal" and has become a cherished destination due to its exceptional hospitality.
