Mandy Moore's Home Rebuilt After Wildfire Devastation

In 2020, Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith purchased their dream home in Altadena, California, intending to renovate its historic charm. By 2023, as their family grew, they moved in. However, devastating Los Angeles wildfires last year nearly destroyed the property, forcing the family of five to rebuild. The rebuilding process, which began four months after the fires, is still ongoing. While the main house has been completed, a music studio and guesthouse are under construction.

The couple's home design, a collaboration with architect Emily Farnham and interior designer Sarah Sherman Samuel, features earthy tones and 1970s-inspired decor. Samuel meticulously cataloged the home's contents, allowing for near-exact replacements of damaged items. Moore described the emotional difficulty of witnessing community loss but expressed optimism due to ongoing rebuilding efforts and a strong community spirit.
