Yacht Redefines Luxury with Single Suite
31 Aug
Summary
- The yacht features a unique single suite design for the owner.
- It includes a private submarine and space for a car.
- The vessel was designed to offer a unique connection with nature.

The 114.2m Nausicaä, created for billionaire Yusaku Maezawa by designer Marc Newson, is setting a new standard for superyachts. Maezawa, known for his unique ventures, provided Newson with complete creative freedom for this project.
Breaking from convention, Newson eliminated a deck to create an illusion of lower profile and enhance interior volumes, offering higher ceilings and grander spaces. This design choice resulted in a luxurious, single owner's suite and ample deck space, prioritizing a connection with the natural environment.
Nausicaä is equipped with extraordinary amenities, including an 18m aft deck with a diving pool and a submersible dock for a 12.5m sport-fishing boat. Additionally, it houses a submarine for underwater excursions and a flexible area that can convert into a sushi room.
The yacht's bow features a panoramic viewing room that transforms into a karaoke bar, a novel concept for superyacht design. The pinnacle is the sky dome, a private retreat with massive, custom-engineered glass panes designed to withstand harsh maritime conditions.
