Lyft Driver Rescues Couple's Forgotten Tarantula After Halloween Party

On Halloween night over five years ago, Lyft driver Nicole Hood was finishing up her usual rounds when she picked up a well-dressed couple leaving an extravagant party. The husband was dressed as a James Bond villain, while the wife played the part of a classic Bond girl.

After dropping off the couple, Hood received a call from the husband, who revealed they had accidentally left their son's pet tarantula in the back seat of her car. Despite her initial surprise, Hood immediately turned around to return the arachnid, as it was an unusually cold night in Austin, Texas, and she didn't want the tarantula to die.

Upon reuniting the family with their eight-legged prop, the husband expressed his gratitude, explaining that Hood had saved him from being the "world's worst father" without his son ever knowing anything had gone wrong.
