This year, luxury watchmaking is dominated by the power and beauty of big cats, with brands transforming timepieces into miniature works of art. Collections inspired by lions, tigers, and panthers are making a significant statement on wrists globally.
Cartier's recent Into the Wild collection features both panthers and tigers, showcased in a high-jewellery and watch campaign. Hermès contributes the Slim d'Hermès Pocket Roaaaaar!, a pocket watch featuring a lion's head crafted from wooden marquetry against a vibrant enamel dial.
Gucci draws from its archives for the G-Timeless Métiers d'Art Tiger, with a hand-painted rose-gold tiger on an iridescent mother-of-pearl dial. Chanel continues its lion theme with the Monsieur Lion Tourbillon Black Edition and also incorporates the animal into its jewellery watches.
Vacheron Constantin joined this trend in August with its Métiers d'Art Tribute to the Animal Kingdom collection, including the unique 'Tigerbroidery' watch.
