On November 9, 2025, the Aadaab Arz Tanzeem in Lucknow is organizing a special Heritage Walk to preserve and celebrate the city's historical heritage and cultural traditions. The walk will take place at the historic Lucknow Residency complex, with eminent citizens, history enthusiasts, and social workers participating.
The highlight of the event will be a presentation by Janab Jafar Rizvi Sahab, who will shed light on the events of the First War of Independence (1857) that took place at the Residency. He will share memories of the martyrs buried there and the contributions of local nawabs, rulers, and landlords of Lucknow and nearby regions to the struggle for freedom from British rule.
The Heritage Walk will not only take participants through the ruins and historical significance of the Residency but also offer a glimpse into Lucknow's composite Ganga-Jamuni culture, symbolizing the city's unity and heritage.
