Louis Vuitton recently orchestrated the return of its Dolomites Classic Run, a celebrated vintage car event. This four-day journey, spanning from Venice to Milan, featured 22 exceptional classic vehicles navigating over 600 kilometers of breathtaking Dolomite scenery. The route was a curated exploration of Italy's rich cultural tapestry, incorporating neoclassical villas and renowned landmarks.
The rally route offered a unique blend of automotive heritage and artistic appreciation. Participants visited sites such as the Museo Gypsotheca Antonio Canova and the legendary Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. While the vehicles, including a 1939 Aston Martin C-type, were spectacular, the focus was on the regularity rally format, which judges drivers on consistency and precision rather than speed.
Italian collector Gianandrea Redaelli emerged victorious, earning a trophy designed by Sabine Marcelis and crafted by Venini. The award was presented in a bespoke Louis Vuitton trunk, a testament to the maison's craftsmanship. The event concluded fittingly at Milan's Castello Sforzesco, celebrating a journey where the experience and heritage were as significant as the destination.
