Lady Louise's Boyfriend Supports Carriage Debut
3 Aug
Summary
- Lady Louise competed in her first carriage driving event of the season.
- Her boyfriend, Felix da Silva-Clamp, was present to support her.
- Louise inherited carriage driving from her late grandfather, Prince Philip.

Lady Louise Windsor recently participated in her first carriage driving competition of the season, the Glebe Estate Carriage Driving Trials in West Sussex. A special guest, her boyfriend Felix da Silva-Clamp, was present to offer his support, having previously been seen cheering her on at other competitions.
Louise's enthusiasm for carriage driving was instilled by her late grandfather, Prince Philip, who taught her the skill and left her his ponies and carriage after his passing in 2021. This pursuit aligns with her decision to take a gap year after graduating from the University of St. Andrews last month, before exploring future career paths.
Unlike some other grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth, Louise and her brother James, Earl of Wessex, have opted not to use HRH titles. Their parents, Prince Edward and Sophie, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, have guided them towards lives outside the core working royal family, preparing them for potential careers requiring them to work for a living.
