Actor Kriti Kharbanda has called for financial literacy to be integrated into school curricula, advocating that young people should learn about money management from an early age. Speaking at a recent event in New Delhi, she highlighted the importance of financial independence and self-sufficiency.

Kharbanda shared her personal experience, noting she started earning at 17 and has since taken on the responsibility of supporting her family. She also revealed that she has returned to her studies, currently pursuing geopolitics while actively learning to manage her finances independently.

She further explained that true financial independence stems from understanding how financial systems operate and having the confidence to act on that knowledge. Kharbanda drew parallels with other essential life skills taught in schools, such as menstrual health, to underscore the necessity of financial education.

Additionally, Kharbanda advised reviewing financial decisions regularly, suggesting that investment strategies should adapt to changes in one's career and life circumstances, much like career choices are not always long-term.
