A construction crew in Ohio recently rescued a small kitten found crying inside a Komatsu excavator. Operating Supervisor Chase Guello discovered the feline while performing routine checks on the equipment at a job site.
After a thorough search for the kitten's mother and siblings yielded no results, Guello and his crew decided to adopt the lone kitten. She has been named Sue, a nod to the Komatsu brand of the excavator where she was found.
Sue is currently being fostered by a woman experienced in kitten care and is expected to transition to a permanent role as the shop cat. The mechanic who will be her primary caretaker grew up on a farm and has extensive animal experience.
In a heartwarming gesture, Komatsu, the manufacturer of the excavator, sent Sue a custom-made mini hard hat and vest, allowing her to officially join the construction crew.
