King Charles and Queen Camilla were in attendance at the traditional Braemar Gathering, held on the first Saturday of September in Aberdeenshire. The monarch, wearing a tartan kilt and red socks, was observed using a walking stick, described as a personal choice. Queen Camilla complemented his attire with a green overcoat, tartan, and a green beret, receiving a sprig of white heather upon arrival.

The royal couple appeared to enjoy the festivities, with both seen giggling and laughing. King Charles participated by handing out trophies, while Queen Camilla engaged with a young participant. This event is a significant fixture in the King's calendar.

King Charles's busy weekend schedule includes an anticipated welcome for Prime Minister Andy Burnham at Balmoral. Burnham recently succeeded Sir Keir Starmer as Prime Minister in July. The Braemar Games often signal the conclusion of the King's summer break, which began with his attendance at the Mey Highland Games in early August.
