Katie Turton, a 32-year-old former make-up artist from Wigan, experienced significant weight gain and depression following two consecutive pregnancies, reaching 18 stone. Her turning point came in December 2022 when she participated in a 40-mile charity walk, motivating her to prioritize her health for her children.
Initially training at home, Turton discovered a passion for fitness, subsequently completing the Manchester half and full marathons in 2023. This dedication led to a remarkable five-stone weight loss by the end of the marathons.
By November 2025, Turton achieved her target of losing 100 pounds, bringing her total weight loss to seven stone and her weight down to 10 stone, fitting into size 10 clothing. Her success has inspired her to become a personal trainer, qualifying in March 2025 and now training clients online.
Turton now advocates for balanced nutrition and regular exercise, moving away from her previous diet of Wotsits and biscuits. She aims to inspire other women, emphasizing that life does not end after childbirth and encouraging them to embrace their strength and resilience.
