Summary
- Katie Price's travel business launched and then shut down within two weeks.

- The travel Instagram account was deleted following significant industry backlash.

Katie Price has reportedly ceased operations of her travel business venture, "Travel Smarter Group," merely two weeks after its initial launch. This abrupt closure follows significant backlash from established figures within the travel industry.
The former glamour model had launched a "Katie Price Travels" Instagram page, collaborating with TV personality Danielle Lloyd to recruit agents for InteleTravel. An advertisement featuring both Price and Lloyd promoted the opportunity to 'earn money from travel' around existing commitments.
However, the advert triggered widespread criticism. Lisa Henning, chief executive of Inspire Europe, called the promotion a 'huge mockery' of the industry, especially in light of recent global travel disruptions. She stressed that travel agency work is a demanding profession, not a casual side hustle.
Other industry professionals echoed these sentiments, highlighting the dedication, extensive training, and round-the-clock commitment required to be a successful travel agent. In response to the criticism, Price's PA stated that the venture aimed to help individuals build additional income and that all agents receive training.
Despite these explanations, the controversy escalated, leading to the apparent deletion of the "Katie Price Travels" Instagram account amidst the mounting industry opposition.
