Karnataka Devotees Embark on Spiritual Journey with Bharat Gaurav Train

As of August 22, 2025, the Indian Railways, in association with the Government of Karnataka's Hindu Religious Institutions & Charitable Endowment (HRICE) department, has launched a special 9-day Kashi Darshana Tour for residents of Karnataka. The tour, operated under the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train Scheme, will run from September 21 to 29, 2025.
The tour will cover several prominent religious destinations, including the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Tulsi Mandir, and Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir in Varanasi, the Ram Mandir and Hanuman Garhi in Ayodhya, the Vishnupad Temple and Mahabodhi Temple in Gaya and Bodh Gaya, and the Triveni Sangam and Hanuman Temple in Prayagraj.
To make the tour more accessible for devotees, the Karnataka government is offering a subsidy of ₹7,500 per passenger. The tour package, which includes travel by Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train in AC III Tier class, accommodation, meals, transfers, and sightseeing, is priced at ₹22,500 per person after the subsidy.
This initiative is expected to provide a unique opportunity for the people of Karnataka to embark on a spiritual journey and explore the rich cultural heritage of these sacred destinations.
