Alba's Daughter Heads to Yale, Mom Rethinks Home Design

Jessica Alba is preparing for a significant family transition as her eldest daughter, Honor, is set to leave for Yale University this fall. The actress shared in a recent interview that the impending departure has prompted her to reconsider her family's living situation, including plans to move into a new home.

Inspired by a design show episode where a single mother renovated her son's room before college, Alba is focusing on creating spaces for her children that will evolve with them. This approach aims to prevent rooms from becoming outdated as her children grow. Honor will be relocating to Connecticut from California to attend university.

Alba also reflected on the unique challenges and differences of East Coast living and home architecture compared to their West Coast base. The actress had previously listed her large farmhouse-style home in Beverly Hills, which she and her ex-husband purchased in 2017 for $10 million and subsequently renovated.
