Jersey's inaugural tractor run is poised to be a significant event, featuring 50 participating tractors navigating over 30 miles and 10 of the island's 12 parishes. The sold-out charity event is scheduled to commence this afternoon, with organizers anticipating a duration of approximately two hours.
Funds raised from the tractor run will directly benefit Jersey Hospice. Before the journey begins, participants and their vehicles will be assessed, and the public is invited to witness the tractors. Organizers expressed hope that this event will become an annual tradition.
The planned route will start in Grand Vaux and conclude at Trinity Parish Hall, passing through numerous well-known island locations. The honorary police are coordinating traffic management, with six police vehicles and numerous officers dedicating their time to ensure the event's smooth progression, while motorists are asked for patience.
