Jenas's £4.95M Home on Market Post-BBC Axe

Jermaine Jenas has placed his family home, located near Barnet in North London, on the market for £4.95 million. This decision follows the dissolution of his marriage to Ellie Penfold, which occurred in March of the previous year. The listing comes approximately 18 months after Jenas was dismissed by the BBC in August 2024 over allegations of workplace misconduct, leading to the loss of his £190,000 annual salary.

The six-bedroom property features luxurious amenities such as an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym, cinema, and playroom. Jenas, who was capped 21 times by England, purchased the house for £2.8 million in 2006. He and his ex-wife lived there with their three children.

Jenas has been actively rebuilding his career since his BBC departure, including establishing his own production company to circumvent previous career limitations. He has publicly taken responsibility for his actions and expressed shame over the explicit text messages he sent to two female employees, though he maintains they were between consenting adults and that no illegal images were shared. His wife, Ellie, has focused on their children and launching her personal care brand, Preppy.
