In the years since Steve Irwin's tragic passing in 2006, his family has remained dedicated to honoring his legacy and passion for wildlife conservation. Terri Irwin, Steve's widow, along with their children Bindi and Robert, have continued to manage the Australia Zoo, which Steve's parents first established as a reptile park in 1970.
Bindi, who was just 8 years old when her father died, has followed in her parents' footsteps, hosting a children's wildlife show and starring in the family's reality series, Crikey! It's the Irwins. In 2020, Bindi married Chandler Powell, and the couple welcomed their daughter, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, in 2021. Bindi has made it a priority to keep Steve's memory alive for her daughter, playing his documentaries and referring to him as "Grandpa Crocodile."
Meanwhile, Robert Irwin, Steve and Terri's son, is currently starring on season 34 of Dancing with the Stars, where he has been honoring his mother Terri through his performances. Robert, who has also worked at the Australia Zoo, recently released a photography book called Robert Irwin's Australia, showcasing his passion for wildlife and photography, just like his father.
Despite the grief of losing Steve, the Irwin family remains committed to continuing his conservation efforts and sharing his love for animals with the world.
