Pekar's friend, Claire Kittle, shared her grief, describing Pekar as a beautiful angel and a loving, genuine, and kind person. Kittle praised Pekar's strength, noting she endured significant challenges with remarkable resilience. The memorial service, held on July 30, was described as beautiful.
Kari Pekar graduated from Iowa in 2015 with a degree in health and human physiology and later earned a nursing degree. She is survived by her husband, Peter Pekar, and their daughter, Ivy. Pekar is remembered for living her life to the fullest with positivity and happiness.
