Despite knowing that pink eye, or conjunctivitis, is a highly contagious infection that causes redness and itchiness in the eyes, White Fedyk decided to proceed with her birthday plans, which involved attending a rave with "100,000 other people." She claimed she would "cover it up with sparkles and some sunglasses" and "call it a god damn day."

White Fedyk's decision sparked a wave of criticism from her fans, who accused her of being "gross" and "selfish" for potentially exposing others to the infection.
