St Giles School in Retford, Nottinghamshire, has transformed its facilities into an inclusive Christmas grotto designed for families with additional needs. The initiative, spearheaded by the charity We Caan, aims to provide a magical festive experience for everyone.
The "grotto for everybody" is situated within the school's hall and music room, offering a safe and welcoming environment. Santa and his elves will be on hand to greet visitors, ensuring that the joy of Christmas is accessible to all.
Beyond the traditional grotto, the charity has curated a comprehensive sensory experience. This includes a delightful candy room and a specially adapted sleigh ride, designed to accommodate wheelchair users, allowing them to fully participate in the festive fun.
