Pushkar Camel Fair to Dazzle Rajasthan in 2025 with Vibrant Celebrations

The Pushkar Camel Fair, one of India's most iconic and vibrant fairs, is scheduled to return to the desert town of Pushkar, Rajasthan, from October 30 to November 5, 2025. This 7-day event, also known as the Pushkar Cattle Fair or Pushkar Mela, is renowned for its kaleidoscope of colors, rich traditions, and cultural performances.

The Pushkar Mela, hosted by Rajasthan Tourism, is one of the world's largest cattle and camel fairs, drawing thousands of visitors, traders, and tourists from across India and abroad. The fair takes place during the full moon of the Hindu lunar month of Kartik, which is traditionally celebrated as Karthika Purnima. It is believed that Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe, performed a religious rite at Pushkar Lake on this day, giving the town its spiritual significance. Devotees from all over the country flock to the lake to take a holy dip, believed to wash away sins and grant blessings.
