On August 2, 2025, two significant donations were made to the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala, one of Hinduism's holiest sites. A Chennai-based firm, Sudarshan Enterprises, donated a pair of gold ornaments, a conch, and a disc weighing a total of 2.5 kg, valued at approximately ₹2.4 crore. The symbolic items were formally presented to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which manages the temple.
In a separate act of devotion, a Hyderabad-based couple, T. Kanaka Durga Prasad and T. Sunitha Devi, gifted their 2,250 square feet residential property to the temple. The house, located in Vasanthapuri Colony, Hyderabad, is valued at ₹19 lakh. The couple were inspired by a past donation made by a late IRS officer, and executed a will transferring ownership of their property to the deity Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
TTD officials expressed gratitude for the generous contributions, stating that the donations will be used to preserve the sanctity and operations of the temple, which attracts millions of pilgrims from around the world. These offerings reflect the deep faith and spiritual connection that devotees maintain with the revered Hindu shrine.
