Rowley, aged nine, has been an indispensable companion to Megan, who lives with profound hearing loss, visual impairment, mobility challenges, and Crohn's disease.
During their time together, Rowley's vigilant alerting system has reportedly notified Megan of more than 6,000 medical episodes. This critical support has allowed Megan to navigate her daily life with greater confidence and independence.
Rowley has fulfilled multiple roles, including guide dog, disability assistance dog, and medical alert and response dog. His owner credits him with preventing hundreds of injuries and enabling her to pursue her career and advocacy work with the Surrey Coalition of Disabled People.
