Bengaluru's Whitefield district recently saw its streets transformed into a lively hub for community engagement during another edition of Happy Streets. This initiative, presented by Bhima Jewellers, successfully reclaimed a usually busy stretch near Bagmane Neon Gate 1, turning it into a vehicle-free zone dedicated to recreation and connection.
The event commenced with a calming guided meditation by Heartfulness, followed by a soothing veena performance. Energetic dance and fitness sessions by Swinglers Dance Inc. got participants moving, while Tejas Krishna's darbuka performance added a vibrant musical element.
Interactive zones offered a variety of entertainment for all ages. Q-Shala's quiz, Tyson's magic show, and a comedy performance by TAG Comedy Club provided engaging activities. Classical and contemporary dance recitals by Lalitha Kala Natya Shale and Rudra Academy further enriched the cultural offerings.
Beyond the stage, residents explored fitness introductions at Infinity Gym and art and craft sessions at Meraki School of Art. The Postcrossing Welfare Society of India also encouraged handwritten communication through postcard writing. Happy Streets continues to foster intergenerational connection by transforming public roads into spaces for learning and community interaction.
