Gonikoppal Women Showcase Talent and Strength at Dasara Celebrations

On September 15th, 2025, the Gonikoppal Women's Dasara program took place at the Cauvery Kalavedika High School grounds. The event, organized by the Gonikoppal Sri Cauvery Dasara Committee, saw a large turnout of women participants who enthusiastically took part in various games and cultural activities.

The women competed in a range of competitions, including flower arrangement, fireless cooking, mehndi application, tug-of-war, lemon and spoon race, bag race, and speed walking. The tug-of-war event was particularly notable, as the women showcased their strength and teamwork. In addition to the games, the women also participated in cultural programs, displaying their talent through mass dance and folk song performances.

One of the highlights of the event was the women's self-produced market, where they showcased their business acumen by selling a variety of products. The women's bag race competition also provided entertainment for the attendees, who came from the city and surrounding areas to support the event.

The inauguration ceremony was led by the president of the Cauvery Dasara Committee, Kullachanda Pramod Ganapathy, and the office bearers of the Women's Dasara Committee, who offered prayers at the Umamaheshwari Temple before entering the grounds.
