Goa Launches Spiritual Tourism Circuit

Goa's tourism department has officially launched its Ekadasha Teertha Yatra initiative, a new program designed to promote spiritual tourism. The launch event took place on Friday at the Shree Mahaganapati Temple in Khandola.

This curated three-day pilgrimage circuit will guide visitors to eleven important temples across Goa. The tour is structured to offer a comprehensive spiritual journey, highlighting the state's rich religious heritage.

On the first day, the circuit includes visits to temples such as Mahaganapati Devasthan (Khandola) and Mahadev Temple (Tambdi Surla). The second day focuses on temples like Brahmadev Devasthan (Valpoi) and Saptakoteshwar Devasthan (Narve). The final day covers southern Goa's spiritual sites, including Parashuram Devalaya (Poinguinim) and Damodar Temple (Zambaulim).

Beyond the temple visits, pilgrims will have opportunities to discover nearby cultural, historical, and natural sites. Two dedicated pilgrimage buses will operate along the circuit to ensure easy access for devotees.

The Ekadasha Teertha Yatra aims to celebrate Goa's ancient temple traditions and make these sacred sites more accessible. Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte stated that the initiative reflects a vision for a holistic experience, immersing visitors in Goa's spiritual and cultural legacy.

The program is intended to encourage exploration of Goa's heritage beyond its beaches, showcasing its unique cultural landscape and living traditions. This effort positions Goa as a destination for spiritual and cultural enrichment.
