Goa police have ordered the immediate cancellation of the 'Tales of Kamasutra & Christmas Celebration,' initially slated for December 25-28. The controversial event, reportedly organized by the 'Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh Foundation,' drew fierce opposition from groups like the Goa Women's Forum and Bailancho Ekvott. These organizations argued that the event would harm Goa's reputation as a tourist destination and potentially lead to increased sex tourism. Concerns were also raised about it being an assault on local traditions.

This controversy has drawn parallels to a similar incident 13 years prior, when Swami Rajneesh, a disciple of Osho, faced local opposition that led to the shelving of his 'Mystic Rose' ashram project.
