Lost Note in Book Sparks Heartwarming Online Reunion

A heartwarming discovery unfolded when a Minnesota woman, Michelle, found a handwritten note tucked inside a book purchased at a local thrift store. The note contained affirmations, practice MCAT scores, and a tracker of medical school applications, showcasing a challenging but ultimately successful journey. Michelle's decision to share a photo of the note on Reddit led to an astonishing reunion.

The note's original author, who had forgotten leaving it in the donated book, recognized her own words and aspirations. She explained that the affirmations had helped her cope with anxiety during her medical school preparations. Now 34, she revealed she became an infectious disease specialist, focusing on research and preventing diseases that cross between animals and humans, a path she feels perfectly suited for.

This unexpected connection, facilitated by social media, provided a moment of reflection for both women. The doctor expressed gratitude for the opportunity to revisit her younger, anxious self and offered encouragement to others pursuing difficult dreams, emphasizing the value of perseverance through late nights and small victories.
