The Escalera Women Fest 2026 is set to unfold from February 4 to February 9, transforming the Kanakakkunnu Palace Grounds and Nishagandhi Auditorium into a hub of activity. Organized by the Department of Women and Child Development in partnership with the Kerala State Women's Development Corporation, this week-long festival is designed to empower and celebrate women.
The festival's agenda is packed with engaging sessions, including theme-based conclaves and vital entrepreneurship training. Attendees can also explore an exhibition and trade fair, alongside a variety of cultural programs. A significant highlight will be the ICDS awards ceremony on Tuesday, recognizing the Thrissur and Wayanad district administrations for their exemplary work in women and child development.
Further enriching the festival, Friday will mark the release of the book "Kaval Care Chronicle." This day will also feature the announcement of achievements under the Koodanayam Project, logo unveilings for the Chuvadukal Project, a declaration of complete electrification for anganwadis, and updates on child-friendly audit initiatives, underscoring a commitment to comprehensive child welfare.
