For any additional earnings, the children must complete household tasks. Emily admits to being 'stingy,' offering 50p for jobs such as unloading the dishwasher or making their beds. Larger tasks might earn them £1, fostering an understanding of earning money through work.

Emily believes children should help around the house without always expecting payment, a value she experienced growing up. She aims to keep their pocket money amounts reasonable to teach them the value of money and pride in their purchases.
