Consultant Dr. Honey Savla cautioned that such a routine, while perhaps manageable for Kapoor, significantly disrupts the body's natural circadian rhythm. He explained that prolonged late nights and late waking can lead to insufficient deep, restorative sleep, resulting in chronic fatigue, reduced concentration, mood disturbances, and a weakened immune system.
Dr. Savla further elaborated that irregular sleep patterns are associated with weight gain, elevated blood pressure, insulin resistance, and long-term cardiovascular risks. He emphasized that while the body can sometimes adapt to occasional late nights, making it a habit maintains a constant stress response. He also noted that sleep debt accumulates over time, potentially leading to burnout and health problems.
To maintain sustainable performance and health, experts recommend aiming for seven to eight hours of consistent sleep, maintaining regular meal times, avoiding heavy late-night eating, and incorporating daily physical activity. Regular health check-ups are also advised to monitor key health indicators.
