Amy Luciani has accused her estranged husband, Dwight Howard, of intentionally prolonging their divorce proceedings. In a court filing on Monday, July 6, Luciani alleged that Howard's previous protective order was an attempt to "harass and humiliate" her. This protective order was reportedly dropped in April, shortly after it was filed. Luciani further contends that Howard's actions were designed to cause her unnecessary delays and financial strain, exploiting their significant income disparity.
Luciani also claims Howard has been uncooperative in sharing financial information. During a May telephone conference, she alleges he only provided limited documents like tax returns and W2s, while withholding personal and business bank and credit card statements. However, on Tuesday, July 7, both parties agreed to a confidentiality order, allowing Luciani access to Howard's financial records under seal. Luciani's attorney also stated that her client has accumulated nearly $9,500 in legal fees fighting Howard's motions and is requesting he cover these costs.
