Droitwich Santa Sleigh Exceeds Fundraising Goals

The Droitwich Lions Club's annual Santa sleigh tour is poised for a record-breaking year, aiming to raise £10,000. This tradition, which began in 2007 with the Lions taking over a sleigh over half a century old, brings festive cheer to the streets of Worcestershire.

The sleigh, a long-standing symbol of Christmas in the town, travels nightly in the lead-up to the holiday, accompanied by music and festive spirit. Organizers highlight that the primary goal is to create magical moments for children, allowing them to share their Christmas wishes with Santa.

This year's fundraising is on track to significantly exceed the typical £8,000 collected. The event not only spreads joy but also fosters a strong sense of community, bringing families together for a shared festive experience that many recall from their own childhoods.
