Detroit Homes Showcase Timeless Tudor Charm

Detroit's University District is inviting the public to experience its unique architectural allure through its 11th semiannual home tour. Six distinctive homes, predominantly Tudor styles built between 1925 and 1941, will be open for viewing on Saturday, September 12th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event offers a glimpse into the neighborhood's rich history and aesthetic appeal.

The home tour serves as a key fundraiser for the University District Community Association, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the area. Proceeds from ticket sales will support various community initiatives and projects, contributing to the preservation and vitality of this historic Detroit neighborhood.

Attendees can admire the craftsmanship of homes that have been cherished by families for generations, like the Moss family who has lived there for 35 years, and newer residents like Renato Radu, who was captivated by the area's charm. The event provides a unique opportunity to appreciate the diverse architectural landscape of approximately 1,400 houses in the district.
