Cockroach Crawls in Delhi Bakery Display

A viral video originating from Delhi has brought food hygiene practices under scrutiny. The footage reportedly shows a cockroach inside the display refrigerator of The Big Chill Cakery, located in Khan Market. This unsettling discovery occurred near the ready-to-eat brownies, a detail captured and shared by food vlogger @giantgrubs on Instagram.

According to the vlogger, efforts were made to address the issue directly with the cafe before publicizing the video. He described his feedback as constructive, aiming for corrective actions by the management. However, at the time of sharing, no response had been received from the establishment.

This incident revives a common discussion about the standards of food safety in public eating places. It emphasizes the fundamental expectation that food displayed behind glass should be shielded from contamination. While the video highlights a specific moment, it prompts reflection on the broader hygiene protocols of establishments.
