Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Karley Swindel exchanged vows with Landon Sandell on Saturday, May 30, in Houston. The Texas natives, both 26, selected Chateau Nouvelle for their 'elegant' celebration attended by 210 guests. Swindel aimed for a 'timeless' wedding, describing the 'ivory and black' theme as 'old Hollywood meets Victorian vibes.'
Swindel, a dancer, made her grand entrance to 'Make You Feel My Love' in a stunning strapless gown and cape. The ceremony included the exchange of wedding rings and vows, with a special focus on their faith and commitment to God, symbolized by a cross. Tyler Pippin officiated the ceremony, which was planned by Alice and Apricot.
The reception featured music by The Manhattan Band. Swindel delighted guests with three surprise performances, including a dance with her father and a performance with fellow Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. The newlyweds shared their first dance to 'I Think They Call This Love.'
Swindel showcased two additional bridal looks during the reception: a Pnina Tornai lace gown and a custom 'Dancing with the Stars'-inspired costume. Guests enjoyed a three-course meal, followed by a four-tiered golden butter wedding cake. Sandell received a groom's cake designed like a Cowboys jersey.
The couple will honeymoon at Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos in Mexico. They plan to remain in Dallas for at least another year before purchasing a home closer to their hometowns to start a family and focus on their careers. Their relationship began years after their mothers were sorority sisters, with a chance meeting during their senior year college admission tests.
